MapLabs 1.0 didn't make it. Poor communication, unclear workflows, burnout. We started strong but couldn't sustain momentum. The project died quietly.
We analyzed every mistake. Built tools to prevent them. Implemented proper version control. Created clear roles. Established sustainable workflows. Failure was our best teacher.
This isn't the same team. This isn't the same approach. We rebuilt from scratch with professional infrastructure, automated tools, and lessons burned into our DNA. This time, we finish.

You work on the map itself
Editing terrain, placing objects, working on mods, or QGIS. If you open TerrainBuilder or touch any source files, this is your checkout.
svn://maplabs.loginto.me/BoraBora/source
You pack PBOs and deploy
You pack PBOs using Addon Builder and deploy them to the server. You don't edit raw source files โ you take what terrain editors produce and make it playable.
svn://maplabs.loginto.me/BoraBora/deploy
Follow these steps to get the source folder on your machine.
If you don't have TortoiseSVN installed yet, download it from the official website:
Download TortoiseSVNChoose the correct version for your system (32-bit or 64-bit). Install and restart your computer if prompted.
Right-click on an empty area of your desktop (or any folder where you want the project to live) and choose "SVN Checkout..."
In the "URL of repository" field, paste:
svn://maplabs.loginto.me/BoraBora/source
In the "Checkout directory" field, set where you want the files on your PC. Example:
P:\BoraBora\source
You can choose any folder you like โ just make note of where it is.
TortoiseSVN will download all the source files. This may take a few minutes depending on your connection.
Follow these steps to get the deploy folder on your machine.

Simple 6-step process for adding objects to RoZebud
Welcome to the RoZebud team! You'll be using DayZ Editor and Editor 2 TB to place objects on the map. This keeps the Terrain Builder source files secure while giving you powerful, easy-to-use tools with instant preview!
Subscribe to download the map from Steam Workshop
In-game object placement with instant preview
Precision placement tools with exact coordinates
Subscribe to DayZ Editor and Editor 2 TB on the Workshop. Download the RoZebud.pbo file and place it in your DayZ missions folder
(usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\Missions\).
Launch DayZ with the Editor mods enabled. From the main menu, select the RoZebud map. Once loaded, you'll be in-game ready to edit!
Press F1 to open the Editor menu. Use the object browser to find houses, trees, fences, and other objects. Click to place them in the world. Use Editor 2 TB for precision placement with exact X/Y/Z coordinates.
๐ก Pro Tip: You can see objects instantly as you place them - no waiting for compiles! Walk around, adjust positions, and see exactly how it looks in-game.
When you're done placing objects, click Export in Editor 2 TB. Save as a .txt file.
Use the naming format: [YourName]_[Area]_[Date].txt
Example: John_NorthTown_2026-02-28.txt
Go to the Board tab in this portal. Create a new task with the title format:
Object Placement - [Area Name]. Attach your .txt file, add screenshots if helpful,
and move the task to the "Ready for Review" column.
I'll import your objects into Terrain Builder, compile the map, and push an update. Your objects will appear in the next RoZebud version! Check the changelog to see your contribution and earn XP! ๐
Your filename:
YourName_Area_2026-02-28.txt
The Terrain Builder source files contain all the raw map data and are kept secure to prevent theft or unauthorized modifications. The DayZ Editor workflow gives you powerful placement tools while keeping the source safe!
Yes! With DayZ Editor, you see objects instantly in-game. No waiting for compiles. After you export and I import them, they'll be in the next official map update (usually within a week).
No worries! Just export a new .txt file with the corrections and submit a new task. I'll review before importing, and we can discuss any issues.
Object placement tasks earn XP based on size: Small areas (50-100 objects) = 100 XP, Medium (100-300) = 250 XP, Large (300+) = 500 XP. You'll also earn bonus XP for high-quality work and creative placement!
